Separate the design categories
Game-improvement irons emphasize help with launch and misses. Players-distance models combine speed-oriented construction with a more compact profile. Players cavity-backs emphasize control; muscle-back blades offer less help away from the center.
Use model-specific examples
In Titleist’s 2023 range, T100 and T150 are players designs, T200 is players distance, and T350 is game improvement. “Forged” describes a manufacturing process, not a forgiveness category.

A handicap includes driving, short game and putting as well as iron play. Compare contact, carry consistency and stopping ability. You may benefit from a blended set with more help in the long irons; there is no need to earn permission to play a forgiving model.
